Twyford Bathrooms will exhibit at Ecobuild 2011, 1 – 3 March at
ExCel London, cementing their position as providers of
environmentally responsible solutions in the bathroom sector,
whether for domestic or commercial use. EcoBuild is the biggest
event in the world for sustainable design, construction and the
built environment, and is the most important ‘green’ event in the
construction calendar. Twyford Bathrooms will be displaying on
stands N1530, S160, S225.
This year Twyford Bathrooms will showcase sanitary and brassware
that is aimed specifically at the hotel sector, an area where water
conservation is increasingly becoming a business necessity, rather
than an optional extra. The stand includes the brand new Celtic
140litre steel bath. Installing this standard sized bath (1700 x
700mm) could save up to an estimated 14,000 litres per person, per
annum in a typical domestic setting – which equates to approximately
40% saving in bathing water usage. In addition the water efficient
Sola Rimless Wall Hung WC, Moda WC and the Galerie Flushwise WC will
be on view, along with stylish water saving taps accompanied by
elegant and practical furniture options that give a ‘finished’ look
and feel. The unusual, yet highly effective, waterferee urinals that
are ideal for hotels, hospitality and public areas will also form
part of Ecobuild story.
New additions to the Twyford stable, 3D and Vello, clearly
demonstrate design savvy, and at EcoBuild they also showcase how
water-efficient brassware can lessen the environmental impact of
individual use, while staying stylish.
Using Twyford Bathrooms’ new and improved brassware can also
significantly contribute to BREEAM credits, making them the best
choice for architects and specifiers, whether working with the
commercial, education, security or hotel and leisure sector. In
terms of the brassware on show, Aquations Low Flow, Twyford
Bathrooms’ unique dual action tap delivers water at 2.5 litres per
minute with one click back and 5 litres with two clicks.
John Blackburn, General Manager Sales and Marketing, commented,
“Reduction in water consumption saves energy and carbon, brings
financial savings for businesses, the public sector and consumers
too. Twyford Bathrooms products help meet BREEAM and part G targets.
Constant innovation is part of our core here at Twyford Bathrooms,
and we are proud to say we lead the way in water efficiency in the
UK.”
As members of the BMA Twyford Bathrooms has also signed up to the
Water Efficient Product Labelling Scheme (WEPLs). This will provide
domestic and commercial users with easy access to a database of
bathroom products that when installed and used correctly will use
less water, save energy and save money. The labels will soon be on
display and will start to appear on products, helping specifiers to
make sound environmental choices. www.water-efficiencylabel.org.uk.
Over 1300 exhibitors, 600 speakers and 50,000 visitors are expected
to attend EcoBuild this year, making it the major forum in the UK
where real environmental challenges for the construction industry
can be discussed, and solutions offered.
