Following the introduction of its new VMP vertical steam boiler range, Fulton Limited continues to innovate with the launch of ModSync – a new sequencing system for multiple steam and hot water boiler installations.

ModSync is designed to maximise the efficiency of multiple boiler installations by providing precise pressure control of the steam system using a pressure transducer installed in the steam header. It is also capable of precise temperature control and lead/lag sequencing on hot water boiler systems.

The enhanced lead/lag capabilities of the ModSync system are provided through an easy-to-use touch screen interface, which also provides remote monitoring and text messaging capabilities for quick access to boiler room status; and can be customised to meet multiple boiler room configurations.

An integrated setback schedule allows the boiler system setpoint to be configured based on the boiler’s current status (operational or standby), which allows the setpoint to be lowered during periods when steam load is reduced – such as evenings or weekends. The Fulton ModSync systems also includes a Multiple Setpoint Control Mode that allows the main header supply pressure to be field-selected and controlled by either ModSync, a Remote 4 to 20 mA signal, or a Modbus signal.

Other features of Fulton’s ModSync sequencing system includes a boiler alarm status that is displayed on the touch screen interface; and an alarm history mode that provides date, time and fault information for up to eight previous alarm occurrences.
