POLYPIPE TERRAIN - New Publications Give Guidance On Terrain Fuze And Terrain Firetrap

A pair of new publications issued by Polypipe Terrain provide information on two of the company’s recently introduced product ranges. A comprehensive technical manual gives full specification details for Terrain Fuze, while a separate brochure outlines the features and benefits of Terrain Firetrap.

The BBA-certified Terrain Fuze products emerged when the company extended its well-proven HDPE piping system for soil and waste, drainage and many chemical waste applications. This added a number of new products to the Terrain portfolio, each one carefully designed to meet the specific needs of the UK market and to offer users maximum flexibility in the design and installation processes. The new technical manual delivers dimensional data and drawings for all the components in the Terrain Fuze range along with preparation, jointing and installation guidance. It also outlines the many benefits of these products, which include greater resistance to impact, abrasion, chemical corrosion and extreme temperatures than traditional piping materials.

The details of the company’s comprehensive Terrain Firetrap range of passive fire protection products are contained in the second of the two new publications. Designed to allow the creation of the best possible fire ratings for drainage stacks in above-ground installations the Terrain Firetrap products all comply with BS 476. They also allow the specification of Terrain drainage systems that conform to the requirements of Part B Building Regulations.

The brochure details both the Terrain Firetrap Sleeve and Terrain Firetrap Collar products and includes a product selector plus installation advice. Suitable for concrete, masonry and plasterboard partitions Terrain Firetrap products maintain both the thermal insulation of a pipe penetration and the vapour seal of the existing insulation.
