CATNIC Makes Selection Simple
Catnic has enhanced its range of angle and channel lintels in addition to
launching the UK’s first PVC arch centres, providing the same great ranges with
improved product quality and new item codes. The customer will benefit from
better performance and simple selection with easily identifiable codes.
As part of the range reorganisation Catnic has simplified each product name,
with one code for angles and another for channels. Now customers will be able to
identify the product they need very simply during the ordering process with
codes that refer to the type and length of lintel profiles.
This move has enabled Catnic to engineer the existing range more effectively,
building on quality and performance capabilities whilst maximising production.
The result of these changes will see the associated carbon and cost savings
passed on to the customer, with the list price of 3300mm-3900mm angles reduced.
Special angles, made according to the specification requirements of individual
jobs will still be available to order in four standard gauges.
Catnic has also rationalised its range of channel lintels, to make product
selection simple. There are three standard sizes with a price reduction on the
3300mm-4800mm channel lintels. Special channel lintels are available in three
standard gauges.
“This range reorganisation is designed to make lintel selection even easier for
our customers,” explains Mike Murphy, Sales Director of Catnic, “Everything from
product development, technical support and availability is engineered to help
the specifier and installer achieve their requirements. Our own efficiencies in
material use mean that there are savings which can be passed on to the customer
too.”
In addition to these enhancements, Catnic has also redesigned its arch centres.
Arch centres are designed to be installed over openings in external cavity walls
alongside a standard steel lintel, where there is a need for a segmental arch,
for example above a door or window opening. These previously vacuum formed arch
units are now manufactured from PVCu extrusions, providing the same colour
fastness and life expectancy as the window itself. The new range of arch centres
are available in length increments of 50 mm and heights of 75 or 150 mm. Catnic
are the only lintel manufacture to offer PVCu arch centres. Suitable for use
with both brick and block and timber frame wall sections the PVC Arch Centre
provides a permanent centre for brick arch construction.
With the high quality materials and exceptional performance expected from Catnic,
these ranges continue to be supported by technical expertise that is second to
none. From the start of the process a single point of contact will guide the
customer through the selection procedure. The internal customer support team
ensures a swift and integrated service; placing orders, dealing with pricing
enquiries and arranging deliveries. A comprehensive range of technical
literature means there is always a reference point to hand, while online help is
just a click away, where CAD detailing provides instant access to technical data
and drawings to aid the selection and installation of the right lintel.
