DOW BUILDING SOLUTIONS New STYROFOAM Insulation Guides Online

A suite of technical guides into selecting and using STYROFOAM-A insulation in roofs, basements and floors has been made available online by Dow Building Solutions.

STYROFOAM-A comes in a range of thicknesses and is lightweight yet robust with high strength and excellent moisture resistant properties. It can be used for roofs (ROOFMATE-A), basements (PERIMATE DI-A) and below concrete floor slabs to help prevent thermal bridging (FLOORMATE-A).

The new guides – available to download from www.styrofoam.co.uk – provide a detailed overview of the variety of STYROFOAM-A products available, advice on how to install them as well as stockist information.

Also available for download is a guide to the latest Building Regulations changes - focusing on insulation requirements - along with a technical paper on the future of insulation in ground-bearing floors.

STYROFOAM materials are being to insulate what is set to be the UK’s first rural affordable housing scheme to gain Passivhaus certification in Wimbish, Essex and were used extensively on the first certified Passivhaus in England, Underhill House in the Cotswolds.
