SPECIALISED SPORTS PRODUCTS - SSP Celebrate 12 Years Of Service To The Hurlingham Club

Recognised as one of Britain’s greatest private members’ clubs The Hurlingham Club retains its quintessentially English traditions and heritage, while providing modern facilities and services for its members. In addition to its other facilities the club has 14 artificial grass tennis courts and recently added an Advantage Red Court synthetic clay surface with a proposed further two courts to be installed later in 2011.

Synthetic sports surface maintenance company SSP Ltd have been contracted to carry out annual works to the courts since 1999. Peter Craig, Grounds Manager of the club, said ‘At Hurlingham we demand a high quality of service it is ‘’The Hurlingham Way’’. We have enjoyed a very good relationship with SSP Ltd and benefited from their help and advice, and indeed the high levels of service they demand from themselves. Their operatives are very experienced, friendly and polite. We are very pleased to have worked with them these past 12 years’.

David Townsend, Managing Director of SSP Ltd said ‘I always look forward to my annual visit to The Hurlingham Club. It’s such a pleasure to meet with Peter and walk around the beautiful grounds. I vividly remember my first visit 12 years ago. Since then we have cleaned the artificial grass courts annually to ensure they are kept in the best possible shape for the club and its members. With the introduction of the Advantage Red Court synthetic clay surface we arranged to visit the manufacturer abroad to look at the maintenance techniques required so that we could provide a similar professional and effective service for the synthetic clay. We look forward to the next 12 years’.
