TWYFORD BATHROOMS Eco-Conscious Bath Helps Attain Code For Sustainable Homes

The new 140 litre Low Volume Celtic steel bath is the latest development in water efficiency from Twyford Bathrooms. For over 160 years Twyford has led the way in sanitaryware development, and this new version of one of the UK’s best-selling baths is the latest innovation to join the ranks of eco-conscious products. Now available to order, the Low Volume Celtic bath takes less than 140 litres to fill to the overflow, while still providing a comfortable bathing experience.

The problem of water scarcity is increasing globally, and current usage is unsustainable so water saving is a key element in new homes, hotels and institutions. Installing this standard sized bath (1700 x 700mm) could save up to an estimated 14,000 litres per person, per annum in a typical domestic setting – which equates to approximately 40% saving in bathing water usage.

By choosing the Low Volume Celtic bath the housebuilder or developer can also contribute to the Code for Sustainable Homes rating. The 1.8mm gauge steel material also offers substantial durability, making it the ideal choice for bathrooms in new affordable homes, or commercial developments such as hotels.

Additional available water-saving products from Twyford Bathrooms include ultra-hygienic water saving rimless WCs, waterless urinals, low flow water saving brassware, aswell as acrylic baths that use up to 40% less water, while still delivering a great bathing experience. The category-leading Flushwise WC has revolutionised the field, using 4 or 2.6 liters per flush – less than half the water of most toilets currently used in the UK. Flushwise is available with many different options within the Twyford ranges including Galerie, Galerie Plan, Alcona, Moda, Refresh and Sola Rimless.

The new 140 litre Low Volume Celtic bath was featured prominently at the major industry exhibition EcoBuild, and is available to order now, running as a range extension alongside the existing 152 Litre Celtic bath.
