VOLARUS - An External Design With A Difference!

Volarus, specialists in bespoke commission balustrade and staircases have just released a sneak preview photograph of their largest Zuber project so far.

Zuber is one of 4 unique balustrade designs that the company launched at Grand Designs 2010 and this project is for 45m to be installed across 2 balconies and a garden terrace in Warwickshire.

At Grand Designs 2010 Volarus sought to change attitudes towards balustrade by introducing 4 unique and innovative designs: Arcana offers a bamboo look but without the high maintenance of wood based alternatives as well as the genuine option. So far interest has come from architects working on oriental themes and sensory garden ideas.

To compliment Arcana, Volarus also launched a range of outdoor “Tiki” lights

Kahana took on a similar curved grace to Zuber, whilst Kyphi offered an alternative sharp edged design. Whilst most clients have explored using the posts in the manner intended, one innovative developer worked with Volarus to use variations on the Zuber and Kahana as handrail.
