BUILD CENTER Launches Local Brick Guide

Build Center has launched a new dedicated brick guide to help customers choose from the hundreds of bricks available to them and each of the Build Center branches nationwide will have its own guide, tailored to regional colour variations and planning requirements.

All of the major brick manufacturers, including Hanson, Ibstock and Wienerberger, have worked with Build Center to produce the comprehensive manual that guides customers through the process of choosing the right bricks.

Gavin O’Reilly, lead product manager for bricks for Build Center, comments: “Choosing the right bricks can be a time-consuming process, particularly if you need to ensure they fit in with any existing brickwork on your project. We wanted to provide a local brick guide for anyone involved in the specifying or purchasing process that doesn’t just provide product details but guides them through the selection process and is also tailored to regional variations.”

The new brick manual guides specifiers and purchasers through a step-by-step process including colour choice, texture, manufacture type and finally size. As well as detailing products available from all of the major manufacturers, it also includes information on hand- made and non-standard bricks for specialist projects and building components such as arches and chimneys.

Gavin continues: “We also want to encourage volume brick purchasers to come and talk to us at Build Center at the beginning of the process. Not only can we help them match the right bricks but we can work with the manufacturers to secure them a better price.”
