AKW - A Stylish Care Shower Screen From Silverdale

AKW, the market leader in the provision of elderly and disabled bathroom products, has brought modern bathroom design to its latest range of shower screens with the AKW Silverdale, a half-height and full height shower screen in a stylish metallic silver finish.

The Silverdale incorporates all of the safety and design benefits that AKW offers in its standard shower screens in a contemporary designer look. The full height screen can be a stylish addition to any modern bathroom. The half-height screen provides excellent water retention, whilst allowing easy access for a carer. The screens are glazed in PET for safety and are available frosted for greater privacy or clear for a more conventional domestic appearance.

The principle behind its creation was to bring a product that would reflect the best of current bathroom design in a shower screen that offers all of the functional features essential for an adapted bathroom. Our aim was to prove that an adapted bathroom can be stylish and it is being specified for a growing number of installations because it looks so stylish.”

Designed with smooth modern latches, the Silverdale has easy-to-grip D handles and a unique rising butt two-way hinge which reduces the force needed to move the screen doors. Water retention is ensured by elastomeric gaskets which provide a high-integrity, watertight seal between the screen framework and panels and the bottom edge, creating a continuous water barrier.

The smooth finish is long-lasting and easy to clean and the Silverdale carries the AKW lifetime warranty.
