HITACHI Gives Premier League Performance

Newcastle United recently triumphed in The Official Football Hospitality Awards and they certainly were a premier host to Hitachi Europe.

On 2 June, Hitachi staff and customers enjoyed visiting St James’ Park for a fundraising open day and charity football match raising money for St Oswald’s Hospice.

St Oswald's provides specialist care for local adults, young people and children with life-limiting conditions. Situated in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne, its purpose-built facilities also offer a range of support services to families caring for ill relatives.

Before getting down to the serious business of playing football, the visitors toured the stadium and had the opportunity to see at first hand some of Hitachi’s latest products. They included the compact single fan Yutaki-M heat pump, the optimised Utopia IVX, the flexible FSXN VRF range and the new generation (series 3) RPI and 4-way cassette.

In addition a demonstration of Hitachi’s standalone control system, CS Net Web, was given using web access to monitor and control the air conditioning in the Hitachi Aircademy training centre in Maidenhead, Berkshire.

Steve Robinson, Area Sales Manager for Hitachi, said: ‘Everyone had a great time and St James’ Park did us proud with its inspiring venue – even if we didn’t look quite like their usual line-up. We managed to raise a very respectable amount for St Oswald’s Hospice on what was a memorable day.’
