VENTROLLA Transforms Draughty House

Draughts are no longer a problem for homeowners Mr and Mrs Gore.

Ventrolla Central Southern Counties tackled the cold breezes that swept through the Georgian property in Romsey, Hampshire with the unique Ventrolla Perimeter Sealing System (VPSS).

Mr Gore first appointed Ventrolla to renovate two sash windows. He was so impressed by the finished product that he instructed a further 11 windows to be draught proofed - including two casement windows.

The Sarah Beeny approved VPSS sealed the gaps that surrounded the sashes in order to eliminate the draughts, whilst also greatly enhancing energy retention.

In addition, two sets of French doors and a timber door were also given the same draught proofing treatment.

Mr Gore, said: “We were aware that we had a serious problem with draughts, particularly with the sash windows, and were limited as to how we could solve this because our house is a Grade II listed building.

“We first arranged for Ventrolla to seal the windows that caused the worst draughts. The improvement was immediately apparent and so we arranged for all the other sash windows, two French doors and an outside door to be sealed.

“The works were carried out quickly and with minimum disruption. The person who carried out the renovations was a first class professional who completed the work to a very high standard.”

Built in 1854, the property was used as an office for the first garage in the busy market town of Romsey during WW1 until being turned into a home.
