JELD-WEN Re-Launches Imperial Window Sizes

In response to demand from local authorities, maintenance contractors, builders merchants and not least owners of period properties, JELD-WEN has re-introduced its Stormsure range of standard Imperial sized windows, reviving and updating a trusted product line that had previously become unavailable to the industry.

The range will meet the demand for standard Imperial sized replacement windows, making replacement of pre-1965 windows much easier and more convenient.

Joanne Garside, Product Manager for JELD-WEN, said: “Our Imperial size range brings the benefits of modern high performance Stormsure windows to replacement situations, without the need for special sizes or a bespoke order. These windows are already set to be popular when making alterations to older buildings and matching old Imperial dimensioned brickwork with original window dimensions. We have had a great response particularly for social housing schemes, where retaining the aesthetics of timber windows is important, but combining this with a more energy efficient product.”

JELD-WEN’s Imperial Stormsure range is available as energy rated A (Ultra) – C. The windows are available in a range of attractive side-hung styles and can be specified to meet very low U values.

All JELD-WEN’s windows are FSC Chain of Custody certified, which ensures the timber originates from sustainable sources.

“Our windows are becoming increasingly popular for sympathetic renovations, particularly those being carried out by local authorities,” Joanne Garside adds. “With standard Imperial sizing available to customers, this will make our windows even more accessible and our new catalogue contains all the sizes and technical specifications.”
