WEATHERITE Improves Efficiency For Worcester County Council

Weatherite Building Services (WBS) has recently undertaken major improvements in the catering suite at St Nicholas C of E Middle School, Pinvin, Worcestershire.

WBS was awarded the project by main contractor K Williams Builders & Contractors Ltd as part of Worcestershire County Council’s major schools’ maintenance programme and as part of a major refurbishment of the school’s kitchen.

The work carried out was project managed by Weatherite throughout and included the supply and installation of energy efficient kitchen canopies together with the supply and exhaust ductwork, air handling unit and controls, new boiler, water heater and necessary pipe work to supply gas and water pipe work to various equipment and utensils such as cookers and ovens (supplied by others).

The system as designed by Worcestershire County Council Engineers, features a cost effective energy efficient solution that recovers waste heat whilst providing good atmospheric conditions for kitchen staff.

Commenting on the installation, Kevin Williams, MD of K Williams Builders & Contractors Ltd said ‘The work carried out has been completed to a very high standard, WBS has provided a solution that has met both the cost and quality parameters we set at the start of the project.”
