ELLIOTT To Design & Build New West Of England MS Centre

Elliott Off-Site Building Solutions has been commissioned by Moonstone Therapy Centre Ltd to design and build the new West of England MS Centre, Bradley Stoke, North Bristol.

The new facility will provide a hyperbaric chamber, gymnasium, treatment and examination rooms along with changing, toilet, storage and office provision.

With a capacity of 450, the purpose built West of England MS Centre will enable care to be provided for a greater number of people, whilst offering a wider range of services in what will be a new, modern and attractive environment.

The facility will be constructed utilising Elliott Off-Site’s timber frame and wall panel system above a ground floor concrete slab. Externally the building will incorporate architectural masonry and stone render with a new car park and secure gated access.

Embracing the principals of off-site construction, Elliott plans to complete the facility later this summer on a 23 week schedule.

Elliott was selected for this project because it was able to provide a complete design and build service from initial concept through to completion, including internal fit out and landscaping. For many clients, having this single point of contact creates a much more effective and efficient method of delivering their estate requirements.

Elliott Off-Site Building Solutions is able to act as concept designer and Principal Contractor to ensure full compliance with Health Technical Memoranda (HTM) and Health Building Notes (HBN) standards.

The Moonstone Appeal raised money to build the new purpose built therapy centre for the West of England MS Therapy Centre Charity. The Patron of the Appeal is former Broadcaster, Cricketer and Rugby Player Alastair Hignell who won the 2008 BBC Sports Personality of the Year Helen Rollason Award for raising awareness about MS.
