IBSTOCK Launches Inspirational New Literature

Helping to inspire housebuilders and developers create buildings with character and charm, the new Chailey and West Hoathly brochures from leading brick manufacturer, Ibstock, are packed full of creative and original ideas for matching traditional brickwork in the South East.

Chailey, which is located in the centre of Sussex Weald, has been manufacturing high quality clamp-fired clay products for over 300 years, continuing to use traditional brickmaking techniques to ensure its bricks stand out against modern clay bricks in terms of colour and texture.

The new brochure highlights the factory’s extensive range, which includes a vast selection of 50mm products, as well as its complementary stock brick pavers and bespoke blending service.

Situated in the middle of Sussex, Ibstock’s factory in West Hoathly is famed across the UK for its character stock bricks, in particular its original ‘Medium Multi Stock’. Manufactured from local Wealdon clays, bricks from the factory are fired in traditional clamps, a method originally used for firing all stock bricks but that has largely been replaced by modern techniques. Once fired, bricks from the factory are hand selected to maintain the quality and the consistency of this unique range.

Products are available in standard, 50mm and Imperial format, as well as bespoke blends and a full range of standard and purpose made special shapes.
