SCHOTT SOLAR Celebrates Success At Intersolar Europe
 Leading solar PV manufacturer, SCHOTT SOLAR, has announced a string of positive
business results, as well as showcasing its innovative PV solutions at prominent
industry trade fair, Intersolar Europe, which took place in Munich recently.
The company reported that, despite a challenging environment, the first two
quarters of 2011 have brought significant successes and sustained market growth.
Firmly positioned at the forefront of the industry, SCHOTT has also announced
the positive findings of independent research institutes, which confirm the
above average lifespan of SCHOTT Solar modules.
The company emerged as test leader with a rating of ‘very good’ in the PV+Test
of well-respected independent assessors, TÜV Rheinland and Solarpraxis AG. In
light of the excellent findings, and following the successful introduction of a
linear performance guarantee, SCHOTT Solar is now pleased to extend its product
warranty from five to ten years.
In addition to these successes, SCHOTT Solar has introduced several new products
to its comprehensive range of solar PV modules, many of which were on display at
Intersolar Europe. Key additions include the cost effective ASI double-glass
module, and the robust SCHOTT PROTECT™ POLY 185 double-glass module that, thanks
to its compact 48-cell multicrystalline construction, can be installed quickly
and easily, enabling optimum use of small roof areas. What’s more, the
innovative double-glass format of both the new modules offers enhanced
durability and resistance to environmental influences.
Also on display was the SCHOTT PERFORM™ POLY 240, a peak-performing module that
offers an outstanding nominal output, combined with a highly durable
construction. Finally, the company also showcased the SCHOTT PERFORM™ MONO 185,
an attractive compact module that offers maximum yield from limited roof spaces
as well as premium good looks, with its smart black cells and frame.
