SIEL Commission The UK’s Largest Roof Mount Solar Installation On Time & Within Budget

SIEL Energy Systems has commissioned and connected to the grid, the UK’s largest roof mounted solar installation on time and within budget. Sited at the new NYSE data centre in Basildon the 600kWp system was formally switched on by the Member of Parliament for Basildon & Billericay Mr John Baron and NYSE Euronext’s Group Executive Vice President and head of global derivatives, Garry Jones.

The complete system is configured with 6 SIEL SOLEIL 100kWp Inverters, which have a 25 year warranty, and a total array of 2,610 high output Multicrystalline PV modules having an overall installed surface area of 4,2892M. It has been installed with a comprehensive monitoring facility based on SIEL’s own TGS2 monitoring platform and provides constant surveillance of all the operational aspects of the Inverters and PV arrays via intelligent string connection units both on an individual and overall basis including instantaneous, monthly and cumulative generation levels.

Wayne Harris from SIEL Energy Systems commented ‘Since commissioning the system the overall performance has exceeded every ones expectations and is generating on average an output 38% higher than initially predicted’.
