LOWARA Launches New Home Booster Set To Meet Demand In Homes Where Water Pressure Is Diminishing

People in thousands of homes across the UK are turning on their taps or flushing toilets to find water is at a trickle, but Lowara has launched the perfect solution.

Resfix and Resvari are new domestic booster sets from Lowara, part of the world's largest pump manufacturer with UK headquarters in Axminster. They are designed specifically for residential properties where low water pressure is becoming increasingly common.

This is due to the increasing demand on water from new housing and a growing population, especially at peak periods. And water companies are more frequently turning the water pressure down to reduce leakage, reduce pressure-related consumption, reduce bursts and provide a constant service.

Gary Wilde, Lowara Business Development Manager, commented: “Low water pressure has been common in commercial buildings and apartments for some time, but we are increasingly seeing low pressure as part of water companies' “pressure management” policies.

“We have developed Resfix and Resvari as cost-sensitive pump sets designed to boost the water pressure in homes where pressure is either consistently low or affected when there is peak demand for water, such as meal times.”

The booster sets are compact and quiet, and packaged within a small cabinet which is ideal for installation in a home with up to 4 occupants.

The units have integral water storage of up to 180 litres with Class AB (category 5) air gap. Each can deliver up to one litre per second with a head up to 4.2 Bar, and the package is designed with ease of maintenance and commissioning in mind.

Where water demand is particularly high, perhaps in larger homes with up to 6 occupants, an assist unit is available to store an additional 180 litres of water.

The Resfix version runs the pumps at a fixed speed to deliver water pressure, while the Resvari includes Lowara's Aquontroller frequency inverter to vary the speed of the booster to set to meet the demand for water, which in turn reduces energy consumption and prolongs the life of the pump.
