HONEYWELL - Team Honeywell Race To Victory Again

Leading manufacturer of heating controls, Honeywell, secured another win in the glorious sunshine at the Fun Cup series at Brands Hatch last month, in what has been described as the most thrilling race of the series so far.

Team Honeywell made a blinding start, moving from sixth position to take the lead from the first corner until the finish line, leaving the other teams battling for podium position.

The winning strategy was a combination of outstanding driving skills and quick pit stops, proving that Team Honeywell is a force to be reckoned with.

Driver Neil Plimmer said: “The whole team were brilliant again - the race was exciting from the beginning to the end. The car drove perfectly all weekend and we are feeling confident about our next races at Snetterton Park 300 and Oulton Park before the world cup championships in November”

The racing cars feature either a 130 bhp VW Golf engine or the more environmentally friendly and faster 170 bhp Audi A3 diesel engine, with race brakes and a five speed gearbox. These are built onto identical chassis with fully adjustable race suspension.

The Fun Cup is an endurance race where teams must complete circuit laps for three, four, six, eight and twenty five hours with multiple drivers, taking a minimum of five mandatory pit stops.

The teams will race at Snetterton Park 300 on 17 September then Oulton Park 15 October before the series heads to Italy in November for the ‘World Cup’ finals.
