VENTROLLA Gives The Royal Seal Of Approval To Georgian Mansion

Sash window specialist Ventrolla North East and Yorkshire Ridings has offered its royal touch to the transformation of Georgian Mansion, The Grove, into a number of modern residential apartments.

Around 30 sash windows were renovated and installed with the unique Ventrolla Perimeter Sealing System, which seals the gaps surrounding the sashes to eradicate draughts and rattles. The system can also help to reduce external noise.

Originally built by members of Kate Middleton’s family, the developers were keen to keep the period features of the listed property. Only one window needed replacing and three new openings were put in place to help transform the property into six modern, luxury apartments.

Andrew Lumb, Construction Director of Orion Homes, said: “We used Ventrolla because they were recommended to us by the NHBC. We couldn’t have been happier with our decision - the price of the work was very competitive and the staff were incredibly professional.”

Andrew added: “The work carried out has improved the retention of warmth in the apartments and on top of this they now look a lot smarter.”

The newly developed apartments of The Grove have more than a royal heritage, with previous famous inhabitants including the original Leeds brewers, the Tetley’s family. Set within beautifully landscaped grounds, the apartments were stone built from the early 19th century.
