COSENTINO - Alonso Opens Cosentino’s 2nd Convention Of Distributors In Asia In Singapore

This twice F1 World Champion was present at the meeting of distributors for the Cosentino Group’s Asian market. The Cosentino Group is owner of the Silestone® brand.

The event took place at the multinational distributor’s headquarters in Singapore. Numerous clients and guests of the company in Singapore attended as did Cosentino’s Asian sales representatives.

This event, with the Spanish racing driver, Fernando Alonso is part of the 2nd Convention of Distributors for the Asian market and is on until Saturday 24th September. Alonso witnessed Silestone®’s market coverage in Asia firsthand and greeted the various company representatives for this market.

The celebration included a performance by local chefs “Candy Chefs Sugar Art”, who specialise in sculpting unique candies as well as a live cooking show by Spanish chefs Alex Garés, Head Chef at the Four Seasons Resort Hotel in Koh Samui (Thailand) and Sergio Pérez, Director of Madrid’s ChefsLab.

Singapore, 22nd September 2011 - 24 September 2011. The Spanish multinational Cosentino Group, leader in the production of quartz and other natural stone surfaces, celebrated an exclusive new event in Singapore with Fernando Alonso, attended by some 150 people including the company’s clients, distributors and specialist press.

This event served to inaugurate the 2nd Convention of Cosentino’s Distributors for the Asian market, a region where the growth of Cosentino’s presence, and therefore its products, thanks to its extensive sales and distribution networks, has been considerable over the past few years. The Convention, which will last until Saturday, 24th September, will bring together over 30 participants, among them managers and sales directors from China, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia and India.

During the event celebrated today, Thursday, at “Builders Shop”, the multinational company’s distribution headquarters in Singapore, Fernando Alonso personally met and greeted Cosentino’s various distributors and visited the firm’s facilities in Singapore.

The celebration included a performance by local chefs “Candy Chefs Sugar Art”, who specialise in sculpting unique candies and sweets as well as a live cooking show by Spanish chefs Alex Garés, Head Chef at the Four Seasons Resort Hotel in Koh Samui (Thailand) and Sergio Pérez, Director of Madrid’s ChefsLab. Both prestigious chefs created a selection of Spanish tapas to delight those present.

Francisco Martínez-Cosentino, Cosentino Group President, Eduardo Martínez Cosentino, Sales Director of the Cosentino Group, as well as corporate directors Santiago Alfonso, Marketing and Communication Director, and Direct Sales Director Ginés Navarro were present at the event. Their presence highlights the immense interest the Asian market represents for the commercial expansion of the Spanish multinational.
