HITACHI - Innovation For A Greener Future From Hitachi

Over 4500 visitors to the first ever Renewables Roadshow were able to see for themselves high-quality heating products from Hitachi during stops in Glasgow, Harrogate, Bolton, Coventry, Cheltenham and London.

The roadshow, organised by the Renewables Roadshow team and sponsored by the Plumb Center, showcased the very latest technologies and training available to trade professionals in popular venues such as Wembley Stadium and the Ricoh Arena amongst others.

Hitachi’s stand displayed its highly-efficient range of heat pumps, which suit renewable energy requirements for domestic homes and commercial premises. Its exhibition included the innovative monobloc Yutaki-M air source heat pumps and Yutaki-S split air source heat pumps.

Glyn Jones, UK Product Marketing Manager for Hitachi, said: “Visitors were particularly interested to learn more about the compact single fan Yutaki-M unit. Since August householders have been able to apply to the Energy Saving Trust for a voucher worth £850 if they have an air source heat pump (ASHP) and meet the conditions of the scheme.”

Hitachi’s Yutaki-M heat pumps have MCS approval and are available with outputs from 5kW to 17kW, and from only 800mm high. Yutaki S has one of the best Coefficients of Performance (COP) currently available; capable of reaching a COP in excess of 5 and reducing CO2 emissions by up to 50% compared to traditional boiler-led systems.
