LEGRAND Enhances Its Enclosures

Legrand has enhanced its range of Plexo IP65 enclosures to make the products stronger, more weatherproof, more secure, and easier and quicker to install than ever before.

Key enhancements to the new Plexo3 range, which is ideal for residential, commercial, outdoor and agricultural applications, include:
• UV treatment to guarantee IP65 protection for applications in damp locations
• Shock-resistant polystyrene to improve impact resistance and ensure IK09 protection
• A flush mounted handle for better shock protection
• A double closing point to give a better seal
• A key operated lock for improved security

In addition, removable faceplates, rails and chassis mean the new enclosures are quicker and easier to install, while an array of clever accessories, which include knock-out cable entries, hinged covers and direct piercing end caps, save even more installation time.

Caroline Boden, marketing manager for Legrand’s wiring device business unit, said: “All of these developments have been made without sacrificing any of the qualities or benefits that our Plexo enclosures are known for.”

“In practical terms this means they can still be specified safe in the knowledge that there is all the cabling space needed thanks to optimised cable runs and organisation that ensures plenty of space at the side, between and behind the rails.”

And if that wasn’t enough good news, Plexo3 enclosures can accommodate a whole host of different Legrand products and components including, Arteor BUS modules for home automation applications and a range of DIN rail mounted products for industrial settings, including Viking terminals, time clocks and contactors.

This capability to provide a total solution is in line with the company’s powered by specialists business strategy, which highlights the full-scope of its specialist credentials and industry leading expertise across its three divisions – wiring devices, cable management and power distribution.

The Plexo3 range is available in a variety of sizes, ranging from enclosures for between 2 to 72 modules, with 2 to 8, 12 or 18 modules per row. For further information please email below:
