WASHROOM WASHROOM Sets Sail

Leading washroom specialist Washroom Washroom recently pushed the boat out as part of a £600,000 refurbishment of the entrance area to The National Maritime Museum in Greenwich.

The museum, the largest of its kind in the world, is housed in historic buildings forming part of the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site. Welcoming over 1.5 million visitors a year the museum is also a major centre of education and research.

Construction specialists Rooff Ltd were appointed as the main contractor to oversee the project which involved remodelling of toilets, offices and education areas and turned to the expertise of Washroom Washroom to complete the specifications set out by the brief.

Washroom Washroom were brought on board to provide hardwearing specifications that would be able to handle the large number of visitors as well as provide a stylish look that would complement the building’s heritage.

For a luxury finish that was both stylish and private, Washroom Washroom specified its precision engineered Alto toilet cubicle with a bespoke Formica Digitial Print laminate. A maritime themed print was in this case specified to fit in seamlessly with the themes that run throughout the museum.

The full height flush fronted Alto cubicles are designed to interface with surrounding finishes and in this case were installed along with Concerto laminate WC ducts as well as three tone colour Corian trough vanity units.
