CARRIER Introduces Water Source Heat Pumps With PURON ® (R-410a) Refrigerant – Versatile System For Affordable Comfort

Carrier, the world leader in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and commercial refrigeration (HVAC/R), today introduce a new line of Water Source Heat Pumps with PURON ® refrigerant (R-410a), for the UK Market.

The new Water Source Heat Pump units with R410a refrigerant are available with the following series.

Water source heat pumps (WSHP) are a great solution for year-round heating and cooling.

WSHPs offer broad range of models delivering efficient, reliable temperature and humidity control for a wide variety of applications. Whether the requirement is for replacement or new construction, for a boiler/ tower (dry air cooler) or geothermal (open or ground loop) configuration there is a WSHP system available. Their extended range capability, among other design enhancements, allows them to operate with entering water temperatures ranging from -6.7°C to 43.3°C. This capability makes significant energy savings possible while supporting sustainable design.

All WSHPs by Carrier are capable of both ground and water loop geothermal applications. Geothermal systems are some of the most energy efficient environmentally clean and cost-effective space conditioning systems available. Extremely high levels of efficiency are possible because a geothermal heat pump uses electricity to move heat, not produce it.

Our WSHP are designed to use energy efficiently with operating flexibility that reduces utility costs, especially under part-load conditions and over a lifetime of operation.

Carrier WSHPs are built to last. The heavy-gauge, galvanized sheet metal cabinets feature a corrosion resistant, powder-painted finish for durability and long life. CuNi Condenser coils and E-coated evaporator coils also available. Maintenance is simple with three-side service access and built-in visual diagnostics. Standard electronic condensate overflow protection along with powder-painted and insulated drain pans give you added peace of mind.

Carrier’s engineering advances have made WSHPs among the quietest on the market. Noise reduction features such as fully insulated cabinets, low-speed blowers and fan motor insulation are standard on WSHPs. The isolated compressor railing system minimizes vibration transmission, and most units feature spring-mounted compressors for additional sound protection.

WSHPs let you put heating and cooling capacity exactly where and when it’s needed. WSHPs give you unprecedented flexibility with many sizes, configurations and factory-installed options.

All WSHP feature state -of-the-art, microprocessor-based unit controllers. Our standard Complete C unit controller package gives you all the advantages of Carrier control engineering. For even more sophisticated features, such as fan speed control, a larger transformer and multiple accessory options, choose our enhanced Deluxe D package.
