STEADMANS Panels Specified At New Rural Retail Centre

Building products manufacturer Steadmans has provided a complete roofing system for a new retail centre comprising a shop and restaurant at Kilnford Farm in Dumfries, Scotland.

Rural Priorities Funding awarded Kilnford Farm over £300,000 to renovate a traditional barn complex to enable it to create a retail centre which stocks and sells quality produce from Dumfries and Galloway. The main contractor appointed on the project was Dumfries-based Armstrong Joinery Products.

For the roof, the contractor specified over 300 sq metres of Steadmans’ AS35 100mm thick insulated panels finished in Slate Blue plastisol, which complements the original stone work of the building.

Steadman’s comprehensive roofing package included matching roof lights, flashings, fillers and all screws and fixings required to complete the project. With a life expectancy of up to 40 years, Steadmans AS35 insulated panels are available in a wide range of colours and finishes and can be specified in thicknesses to aid compliance with the latest L2 regulations. The panels are also Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) approved and are supported by a full range of matching ancillaries including gutters, flashings, rooflights and fixings.
