BRITANNIA KITCHEN VENTILATION - BMC Students Have A Clear View Of Heydal

Britannia's Heydal ceiling system has been installed in the new Belfast Metropolitan College which opened recently in the Titanic Quarter of the city.

One of the many kitchens in the campus is for demonstration purposes with galleried seating where students can witness live cooking demonstrations.

Conventional extract canopies would have obscured the students view of the demonstration area, whilst Heydals low profile provided effective ventilation without compromising the aesthetics of the facility.

To overcome the potential for odour nuisance and grease carry over to the ductwork, Britannia's Ultrastream UV filtration system was also incorporated within the scheme, housed in easily accessible reaction chambers.

Ultrastream breaks down organic matter in extracted air reducing odours as well as grease carry over to the ductwork system.

This technology significantly reduces both the fire risk in the building and the frequency of duct cleaning required.
