OWA Makes A Noise At The Major European BAU Exhibition

Hundreds of OWA customers, architects and OWA staff from around the world visited OWA’s impressive stand at this year’s BAU exhibition in Munich. OWA (UK) Ltd took groups of customers to see their displays, and to enjoy the Bavarian hospitality, and bumped in to other OWA customers form several European countries, and from as far afield as South Africa.

OWA’s stand featured the new Symphonia A (Class A absorber), new slim wall absorbers, and “bamboo” covered OWAcoustic tiles, and more than a hundred guests arrived on the Friday for a spectacular celebration on the stand, with live saxophonists providing the background music, and Managing Director Mathias Schaper speaking about OWA and its latest developments. OWA’s presence was a confident statement of the Company’s commitment to continue to develop innovative acoustic systems to control room acoustics with OWAcoustic ceilings and wall absorbers, and to keep investing even at a time when the building industry is quiet. The BAU exhibition is the leading event of its type in the building industry in the world. It was very well supported in 2011, with 1900 exhibitors taking 180 000m2 of space. Unlike some other major European building exhibitions, this one still attracts the big name exhibitors, and an increase in visitor numbers (238,000) enjoyed the displays.
