OWA UK - Achieve LEED Platinum Status With OWA

As the demand for environmentally sustainable architecture increases, so too does the demand on manufacturers to produce suitable products. OWA was quick to recognise the potential of ecological building and has been an active member of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) since 2008.

OWA ceiling tiles not only offer improved acoustics, fire protection and design, but are made of certified-biosoluble mineral wool, completely free of harmful solvents. In recognition of this, OWA bares the 'Blue Angel', awarded 'only to those products which distinguish themselves by greater environmental friendliness than other products serving the same purpose'.

The American LEED building certification is an internationally recognised benchmark for sustainable and energy-efficient architecture. Building projects can attain the LEED Platinum status with OWA thanks to a responsibly-sourced product, low CO2 emissions, improved indoor environmental quality, recyclable OWA construct grid systems and environmentally friendly ceiling tile disposal.
