OWA UK - Suspended Ceilings Outdoors? Ask OWA...

Suspended ceilings projects sometimes require deep technical competence and expertise, which only leading ceiling manufacturers can provide. For the project to then be a success, they need the same high standards of delivery and installation. And of course, the design should complement the architects' vision for the project. At the Crownhill Project in Milton Keynes, the local authorities wanted contemporary metal ceiling plank systems internally, with a non-standard perimeter detail, and also a system that could stand up to semi-exposed environments externally. OWAtecta® metal ceiling systems were selected. Then in the back areas basic and cost effective OWAcoustic® mineral fibre ceilings were supplied and offered excellent value for this local authority project.

OWA's South-East specification manager, Lynne Clapham, started working with the local authority architects two years ago, producing CAD drawings of the reflected ceiling plan and specific detailing at corridor junctions, which helped to convey understanding for all those involved. OWA UK's Techincal Manager, Jim O'Dell, also worked with the specialist sub-contractor, NEO Interiors, to ensure a successful installation.
