DORMA Provides Sublime Control At Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir Aux Quat’Saisons

In the picturesque Oxfordshire village of Great Milton, Le Manoir aux Quat‘Saisons with its two Michelin stars which it has held for 27 years, is regarded as one of Britain's finest gastronomic experiences and one of the country's most intimate and original hotels. So when it came to the upgrading of celebrated chef Raymond Blanc’s office, products that matched Le Manoir’s prestigious stature were required. With this in mind, DORMA’s renowned CS 80 MAGNEO automatic sliding door operator was specified.

Designed and delivered by Crown Interiors, the refurbished office interior features a glass partition which incorporates a sliding automatic glass door. This glass wall divides the office from a small lobby area and helps form an impressive and aesthetically pleasing working area. To provide efficient and reliable moving of the door, a state of the art sliding door operator was required which could be opened by the simple touch of a button. Combining functionality with attractive design, the smooth and silent DORMA CS 80 MAGNEO with its innovative SoftMotion, met the requirements.

The DORMA CS 80 MAGNEO is driven by a magnetic, and thus contactless, shear wave of a linear DC motor to create a smooth movement that perfectly matches the action of a sliding door. The functional principle of the CS 80 MAGNEO is simple: Its silent operating behaviour makes the system especially suitable for areas where a low noise level is required.

The sleek Contur design of the controller has minimalist clean lines that blend seamlessly to meet the discriminating and high standards of such a respected chef. Innovative magnetic technology ensures that the CS 80 MAGNEO is safe, reliable, whisper quiet, and resistant to wear.

Ideal for both new and retrofit interior applications, the CS 80 MAGNEO’s modern design and easy operation make it an attractive and efficient way to update both the function and appearance of existing interior doorways.

The versatile CS 80 MAGNEO meets all safety requirements for low energy applications. Its extra sensitive operation instantly detects any obstruction. Activation is achieved via touchless design push plate, radio remote control, or traditional infrared motion detectors. Although the CS 80 MAGNEO is a full-automatic operator, it may effortlessly be opened and closed manually in the event of a power failure.
