TOTAL GLASS Supplies ‘Special’ Windows & Doors

Social housing fenestration specialist Total Glass provided the quality PVC-U window and door solution for a new special needs residential development in Wrexham, North Wales.

Working with affordable housing contractor Wates Living Space, Total Glass manufactured and installed 147 windows in 21 purpose-built homes at Ponciau for Wales & West Housing Association.

Total Glass incorporated specifications designed to help occupants with daily living, such as automatic window openers and integral blinds inside the double-glazed units for the Autism unit’s six bungalows.

White PVC-U windows, manufactured to Secured by Design standards, were fitted in a further 15 houses and bungalows on the estate. Nine sliding patio doors, four sets of French Doors and five glazed residential doors were also supplied by Total Glass for the properties.

Secured by Design is the official UK police approval for security products that ensures they are designed, manufactured and tested in accordance with strict rigid guidelines. Owned by the Association of Chief Police Officers, the initiative is aimed at reducing crime in communities through product strength and security.
