Dulux Trade Paints has underlined its commitments to
sustainability and first-class customer support, with the
launch of the ‘Building a Sustainable Future’ information
guide.
The online booklet, which is available from the Dulux Trade
website, represents the latest in a line of guides from the
company, and explains how it is meeting its ambitious
targets incorporating the economic, environmental and social
elements of sustainability.
It also provides information and advice to help professional
tradesmen make informed decisions about how they can become
more sustainable in the selection, application and disposal
of products.
ICI Paints AkzoNobel, the parent company of Dulux Trade, is
committed to becoming the most sustainable paint
manufacturer in the industry. The company’s approach
incorporates the total lifecycle of its products, and is
based on a strategy of working with suppliers, customers and
cutting-edge thinkers to deliver positive impacts from the
production, to the application and end of life system of its
products.
Susan Kendall, Sustainability Director, ICI Paints
AkzoNobel, said: “Our annual sustainability guides are an
essential part of meeting and promoting our commitments. We
aim to deliver the message that in order to establish a
genuinely sustainable solution, it is important to consider
the entire lifecycle of a product.
“The most sustainable solution for one project will not
necessarily be the best for another – this can differ
depending on the requirements and end uses of each job. We
aim to help contactors make informed sustainability
assessments and select the best products for the task.”
