Honeywell's Heating Controls Wiring Guide App In Top 25!

Honeywell is reminding installers that its Heating Controls Wiring Guide app is available for download now for iPhone and Android and has been met with huge success. After only three weeks of availability, the app has been downloaded more than 700 times a week – a total of 6,300 downloads - and is listed in the top 25 free business apps on iTunes.

The app features wiring diagrams and detailed technical drawings to show how to wire Honeywell heating controls into a heating system. It also has a product catalogue to explain the technical features and benefits of each product and a compatibility guide for installers to work out which Honeywell products to specify in a retrofit situation.

Andy Mansfield, marketing communications manager at Honeywell commented: “The response we have received to this has been very encouraging – when we developed the app we knew some installers would take advantage of having data available in this way, but we have been delighted with how many have downloaded it already. It shows we must continue to provide information in a number of different ways.

“This wiring guide is just the start of the Honeywell Electronic Library and now this has proved a success, we are looking forward to developing more technology to help installers throughout 2012.”

Simon Rattray of IPM Heating – a member of the Honeywell Installer Network – downloaded the android version of the app and commented: “Though I haven’t had the app for long, on first impression I have found the navigation to be excellent and very easy to find what information I need. Wherever I go I am always asked questions about different products and wiring problems, so I can see this being one of the most useful apps I own.”
