Dean & Bowes scoops top Health & Safety honour

Fit out and refurbishment specialist, Dean & Bowes, has scooped a top honour in the prestigious RoSPA Occupational Health & Safety Awards for 2006 - winning a gold award for its commitment to minimising risks and promoting the highest standards of health & safety awareness.

The RoSPA Awards are not just about reducing the number of accidents and cases of ill health at work; they also ensure that organisations have good health & safety management systems in place. The awards help to reinforce the message that good health & safety is good business and winners clearly demonstrate their commitment to achieving high levels of performance in this crucial area.

Accepting the award from Lord Brougham & Vaux, Vice Chairman of RoSPA, Jim Parker, managing director of Dean & Bowes, commented: "Health & safety lies at the core of our business and we have robust systems and procedures in place to ensure the safety and well being of staff across all of our sites and in our head office, as well as members of the public who may come into contact with the company. We are delighted to have been formally recognised for our commitment to continually improving working conditions as we strive to completely eradicate instances of ill-health at work."
