UK launch of 48,000 hour long life CFL's

Hard on the heels of the 48,000 hour long life T5 lamps introduced by Greenstock last year, is the UK launch of a complete range of 48,000 long life compact fluorescent lamps.

The Unique-L lamps from Aura are believed to be the first long life versions of the PLL compact fluorescent lamps offered in the market. These high output compact fluorescent lamps with their familiar 4pin 2G11 caps have a guaranteed life of up to 48,000 hours when operated on electronic ballasts and on a 12 hour switching cycle. This is three times longer than standard PLL lamps.

Designed as a first-fit or a replacement lamp, the Aura Unique-L range feature Aura’s patented cathode shield construction to give the multiple lifetime of the product. The high output and high colour rendering (RA85) of the lamps make them ideal for a vast array of applications from offices, shops, restaurants and hotels to signage, city subways, factory production areas and public transport.

The tri-phosphor lamps are available in 18W, 24W, 36W, 40W, 55W and 80W versions in either 3,000k warm white or 4000k white. The standard Unique-L lamps may be mounted base down, horizontal or base up and are designed for optimum light output at +25°C. The Unique-L Cool version, through a different positioning of the bridge between the twin tubes, can operate between +15°C to -15°C and is thus ideal for public outdoor lighting applications. This version is available in 18W, 24W, 36W and 55W white and warm white types.

The Aura Unique-L compact fluorescent lamps are manufactured to the IEC / EN60901 standard and under rigorous quality controls to ensure lamps of exceptional service life and light output.
