Airedale appoints HR Director
Global air conditioning manufacturer Airedale has
appointed Steve Joyce as human resources director. Steve
brings thirteen years of HR management expertise to this
newly created role as well as experience in a diverse
range of manufacturing sectors including industrial
equipment with a US-based corporation, food snacks and
most recently pharmaceuticals.
Steve, who joins Airedale twelve months into its
integration with US-based Modine Manufacturing Company,
says: “There are many benefits to Airedale in being part
of a US-based company, particularly in bringing
structure and ideas to processes, more discussion on the
way we do things and innovative training development.
“Airedale has a loyal, long-serving work-force with a
great depth of talent and continuity of knowledge. I
intend to build on this through structured people
practices such as improving performance through proper
appraisals, performance-related pay systems and career
and succession planning, so that the work-force develops
and grows with the business.”
Says Airedale managing director Sam Skobel: “Steve has
considerable experience in developing and implementing a
variety of HR initiatives, many of which are mirrored
within Modine and will become part of Airedale’s HR
systems. Modine understands that the success of the
company is intrinsically linked to the achievements of
its employees and for this reason we have seen fit to
create the role of HR Director, which Steve fits
admirably.”
