Thurston Building Systems expanding business in Ireland

Neal Murphy (31) has become the latest attachment to the ever growing Allspace stable of talent. His remit is to raise the profile of the company and its product range in Ireland which is a vibrant and growing market place.

“You can’t look out of a third floor window anywhere in Ireland without seeing a crane,” said Neal, “Relative to its size, this is one of the fastest growing markets for construction across the whole of Europe. This is a great place to be for a company specialising in providing flexible, cost effective building solutions”

A keen sportsman, Neal has worked as project manager and as sales manager in the sport and leisure industry for over ten years, working alongside architects, quantity surveyors, facilities managers and planners. Joining Allspace in March 2006 as Sales and Product Manager, he is responsible for business development of the Thurston product range across 32 counties in Ireland.

He will work towards promoting the Thurston brand, developing relationships with local education authorities, county councils and private developers. The wide range of Thurston products mean that Neal can offer building, security and accommodation solutions in a wide range of markets including sports, leisure, medical, education and public sector.

Neal is pleased to be the latest member of the team, he said: “I am looking forward to developing the Thurston brand in Ireland, promoting the company as a premium provider of building solutions.

“What has impressed me about the company is that it is the only product provider of its type with certification for a product life expectancy of up to 60 years. I like the way it approaches business, offering cost effective building solutions with fixed price contracts and minimal site time. My aim is to create lots of happy new customers and maintain and nurture successful ongoing relationships with our key clients.”

Neal’s appointment is indicative of the pace of growth in Ireland, a European hotspot for construction activity. Jonathan Petch MD of Thurston Building Systems said:
