‘Chill-out’ in Premier Style

A wood-effect floorcovering from Marley Floors Premier Collection was specified for the new ‘chill-out’ area at Scottish Widows offices in Edinburgh. The ‘chill-out’ area has an informal and relaxed atmosphere offering an alternative setting away from the office environment. An attractive Bermuda Maple wood effect from the Premier Collection was installed to help create the welcome, tranquil environment envisioned by the designer.

Souness & Boyne Interiors Limited was asked by the in-house design team at Scottish Widows to assist with the interior fit-out of the ‘chill-out’ area. Helen Hamilton from Souness & Boyne says, “We were very pleased to receive the contract for this interesting project. Marley Floors Premier has been used within the flooring design to define the different seating areas. As well as its obvious aesthetic qualities, Premier is a practical alternative to real wood and very easy to maintain.”

The Premier Wood Collection is a range of luxury vinyl tiles. It has been widely specified on a number of prestigious installations where quality, design and durability are considered of equal importance. An easy to maintain clear wear layer protects the surface from scuffs and marking, helping to retain its looks under even the toughest conditions. High quality films are used to ensure the textured finish reflects the character and beauty of wood, yet is more practical and cost effective for office, retail and leisure projects than a solid wood floor.
