Mita in Belfast Landmark HQ
Mita’s cable management systems have been installed
in the new Northern Ireland headquarters of Landmark
East. A not-for-profit company developing unused and
derelict property in Belfast, Landmark East provides
high quality office accommodation for community,
voluntary and social economy organisations.
Containment and protection of the power and data cabling
systems is provided by a combination of
multi-compartment trunking and pre-wired power track
systems. Mita’s Ultra 60 2-compartment pvc perimeter
trunking system provides secure segregated containment
and protection for the 240Vac mains-power distribution
wiring, with a dedicated 75x62mm compartment and 50mm
radius bends for the sensitive Cat 6 data-communications
cabling network. The installation also includes
2-compartment perimeter trunking from Mita’s TK
Aluminium range to provide a safe, secure and attractive
system, complementing the interior décor in manager’s
offices. In other areas, to ensure maximum design
flexibility, additional power and data outlets are
provided by pre-wired floor boxes fed by under-floor
Power Track.
Although alternative cable management products were
specified originally for the installation, electrical
contractor Millar and Matchett took the decision to use
Mita’s systems, due in part to the outstanding service
and local technical support offered, together with the
availability and quality of the Mita products which were
supplied through wholesalers H. Ritchie & Sons. The
architects for the new building were Hall Black &
Douglas, with Bennett and Robinson the mechanical and
electrical consultants.
