Ardex get the beers in at Cropton Brewery

An interesting project recently saw ARDEX team up with Ashley Industrial Flooring of Urmston, south Manchester, to install a new resin floor at the Cropton Brewery in North Yorkshire. Beer has been brewed in Cropton since 1613 and due to increasing demand for their unique beers, Cropton Brewery has expanded their production facility. With the UK food and drinks industry under constant pressure to conform with current health and safety regulations, the need to install advanced industrial flooring systems has never been greater. Ashley Industrial Flooring knew that it was paramount to specify a resin flooring system that has been developed to provide high chemical resistance, with a seamless and joint free finish.

ARDEX R 90 P Rake and Trowel Grade Heavy Duty Polyurethane Screed enjoys a tremendous advantage in the drinks processing industry as it has been proven throughout many similar environments to offer a fast track, durable and easily cleaned surface. Available in a range of colours, ARDEX R 90 P is supplied as four components in pre-measured packs for easy on-site mixing, with the special formulation providing an easily worked system that can be applied quickly using a pin rake and trowel, making it more efficient to apply than a traditional heavy duty polyurethane screed. The cured system forms a tough, easily cleaned, pigmented layer from 4mm up to 9mm thick, resulting in a hard wearing, slip resistant resin flooring system which will withstand rigorous hygiene routines.
