Oxford to Cambridge
Leading building services engineers, Briggs &
Forrester are no strangers to charity fund raising
having presented in excess of £60,000 to various
organisations over the last five years. However, 2006 is
a landmark year since it the first time that a team of
cyclists from the company has entered the British Heart
Foundation Oxford to Cambridge Bike Ride.
A team of 11 cyclists set off from Oxford in pouring
rain at 7.20am on Sunday, 24th September travelling the
quiet roads through Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire,
arriving in Cambridge after 85 miles and a gruelling
six-hour ride. Saddle sore but happy to have raised in
excess £3,000 they have all pledged to continue their
training ready for next year!
