IES launches on-line training for its 2006 Part L1 and Part L2 software-VE Compliance
Following the highly successful launch of its 2006 Part L software, "VE Compliance", IES Limited is delighted to announce the availability of associated web based, low cost training courses. Taking the form of live sessions hosted by IES, a range of flexible training courses are now available for all levels of experience.

The courses are designed to enable IES software users to be eligible for entry into examinations for Accredited Competent Person Schemes for Part L of the Building Regulations (England and Wales) when launched. All training sessions can be booked online (www.iesve.com) or by contacting IES directly on 0141 945 8500 / training@iesve.com.

IES’s VE Compliance software, which works in conjunction with its suite of building performance analysis tools, the "Virtual Environment", offers a complete one-stop shop for obtaining and proving compliance with both 2006 Part L1 and Part L2. It incorporates DCLG approved thermal simulation software developed by IES to offer a more comprehensive route for assessing Part L2 compliance for complex and simple buildings, alongside the SBEM engine and SAP 2005 both with IES interfaces.

"VE Compliance" is available to purchase on either WAN, LAN or stand alone licences and is aimed at architects, service engineers, house builders and all those within the building design process tasked with ensuring compliance.

Commercial benefits include being able to: assess designs quickly and easily for compliance, compare alternative energy-saving strategies, test designs at multiple stages without re-inputing data, input data simply (much of the data required is assigned and updated automatically), produce results files suitable for inclusion in submissions to Building Control authorities and produce visual models.
