New generation of actuators - Standards in efficiency, quality and warranty cover

In April 2005, Belimo introduced a new generation of actuators. Users profit from a clearly structured product range, motors with a greater output, longer service life and less energy consumption as well as a consistent installation and operating philosophy.
The first phase covered the replacement of damper actuators for ventilation applications. They are available in four new rating classes: 5, 10, 20 and 40 Nm. The second phase saw the release of the new linear damper actuators for lifting movements up to 300 mm and full rotation actuators for angles of rotation of over 95°.

Standard actuators are offered with open/close, modulating or 3-point control for AC/DC 24 V and AC 110 V / 230 V nominal voltages. For the multifunctional MF actuators, parameters such as running time, control type and angle of rotation can be tailored very accurately to users’ individual needs – either at the factory or on site using the practical Belimo PC software tool or the MFT-H manual parameterising device. This generates decisive cost advantages – for new systems as well as for modernisation or replacements of older actuators, whether from Belimo or other manufacturers.

The digital MP types allow up to eight control devices to be integrated together into higher-level systems via the Belimo MP-Bus®. Conventional sensors can be simultaneously digitised and integrated for each actuator. Projects realised in field installations confirm that this dramatically reduces not only the number of data points but also cabling expenses.

In addition Belimo have set new standards in terms of warranty cover to coincide with the introduction of the new actuators. The Swiss quality for which Belimo is renowned means that the warranty period can be extended for the entire product range from two to five years.
