Up to date central heating controls make sense
because they save fuel and increase comfort, says Peter
Greenbank of Gaswise UK Ltd. “Wireless Honeywell CM60RF
programmable room thermostats delight our customers and
simplify installation, he says. “I’ve fitted dozens with
no problems and nothing but praise from residents. With
no wiring between the room programmer and base unit, the
CM60RF is much quicker and easier to install, with no
damaged decorations.”
Gaswise aims to minimise disruption on site. “It’s
important in London where there are thousands of heating
systems using combi boilers that rely solely on TRVs for
air temperature control,” he explained. “These should be
upgraded to full time and temperature control and
Honeywell’s CM60 RF wireless programmable controller is
the ideal solution. It’s daunting for householders when
the installer takes drills to walls, makes dust and
damages decorations just to run cables – particularly at
the top end of the housing market.”
Householders find the Honeywell CM60 RF easy to
understand and use, he says. “Honeywell makes it simple
for them, which is really important when they are faced
with the latest technology. The prompts are in plain
English and well thought-out, so they don’t have to
scroll through menus to get to the required program.
“As an installer, you can’t afford to lose productivity
through recalls because the resident can’t understand
the programmer.”
He has attended Honeywell’s one-day training courses,
which he says are very instructive in both the practice
and profitability of installing the various types of
control system.
