New improved floor and ceiling channel for curved walls
British Gypsum has introduced a new, upgraded version
of its Gypframe CurveLiner floor and ceiling channel,
which can be used in conjunction with a deflection head
detail to accommodate deflection in concrete or steel
frame buildings.
The new Gypframe 72 EDCL 80 CurveLiner Channel has been
completely re-engineered with deeper flanges and
increased metal gauge to enable curved walls and
partitions to be built higher, and to accommodate a
deflection head detail allowing 25mm live or dead load
deflection, if required.
Gypframe CurveLiner Channel, a patented version of the
company's standard floor and ceiling channel with a
slotted flexible design to allow curved structures to be
set-out and built quicker and more easily than other
methods, was developed by British Gypsum in late 2000.
It is used as part of British Gypsum's GypWall CURVE to
create the curved feature walls that are increasingly
specified in a range of buildings, from offices to
schools, hospitals and apartments.
Part of the Gypframe metal components range, the new
CurveLiner Channel can be used as part of a proprietary
British Gypsum wall or partition system, to quality for
the company' unique SpecSure® lifetime system
performance warranty.
