EXPANSION AT LEADING MOBILITY CHAIR COMPANY

A significant expansion programme is currently underway at Evac+Chair International Limited, the world class company engaged in the innovation and manufacture of emergency mobility and transportation solutions for the medical, safety and care sectors.

The company has recently acquired additional 7,500 sq.ft. premises, doubling the size of its current premises in Tyseley, Birmingham. These new premises will relieve pressure on manufacturing capacity and allow continued growth into the years ahead.

Evac+Chair International Ltd has achieved excellent growth in sales with results for last year showing a 64% increase since 2002. This is largely down to the increasing popularity of its award-winning Evac+Chair stairway emergency evacuation chair designed for those who are mobility impaired. Export sales have also increased in the same period by 15% and last year there was a 10% increase in employees to support the growth in the company. Evac+Chair International Ltd was commended for these significant achievements in Birmingham’s recent Business of the Year Awards 2005.

Evac+Chair International Ltd manufactures and supplies a number of key products. As well as the stairway evacuation chair, it also offers the IBEX transeat, a patient transport chair for the ambulance and emergency services, and the AbleTech bath lift, a reclining bathing aid for the care market. The company also offers bespoke engineering solutions for the medical sector under its Paraid business.
