S-Quad satisfies Part M at Close House Country Club
Whilst undertaking the refurbishment of the Close
House Country Club, the management team consulted Gent
by Honeywell’s approved System Integrator NEL for
guidance on updating its existing Gent fire detection
and alarm system within the Grade II listed building.
In order for the hotel to comply with Part M of the
building Regulations* and the Disability Discrimination
Act, NEL recommended Gent’s S-Quad sensors with Vigilon.
The S-Quad combines the sensor, a sounder, voice
messages and a strobe all in one neat device. With a
single S-Quad in each bedroom, all residents can be
alerted to an emergency, and clear evacuation
instructions can be delivered. As all devices are
backwards compatible, the brand new technology was
installed on the existing fire system wiring – removing
the need for unnecessary additional installation work.
