SCHOTT will be exhibiting processed flat glass at
100% Detail for the first time. Practical and aesthetic,
with processed flat glass the interior design
possibilities are endless enabling the combination of
interest and functionality.
On display will be a range of applications, techniques
and decorative finishes as well as heat emitting glass
and the use of glass with fibre optics. Included are:
A formed heated glass fire demonstrating curved and
transparent heat emitting glass
Large format glass decorative panels with artistic
designs
Glass inserts and tiles made from plain and patterned
glass with two side 3D ceramic prints, metallic prints
and specialised metal coatings
Sophisticated water jet shaped cut outs and drilled
holes demonstrated on a free standing lighting exhibit
Bonded bevel edge profiled and screen etch printed
decorative assemblies lit with fibre optics
Designers can benefit from the use of a variety of glass
types including clear float, extra white, patterned,
tinted or reflective enhanced with shaped holes,
cut-outs and a profiled, bevelled or polished edge.
Practically every colour can be printed to create unique
designs including flat and textured metallics and
complex multiple colour decorative prints and graphics
which, applied to both sides, gives depth and a 3D look.
SCHOTT toughening techniques also enable glass to be
bent to a simple two-dimensional gentle curvature or a
complex deep three-dimensional shape.
Complete final products can be supplied with the glass
glued to brackets or into a frame, UV bonded to another
piece of glass or assembled with fibre optics or touch
controls.
